| Physical Description | A feline-humanoid, M’Ressa stands 5’8” tall with a sleek, athletic build. Her entire body is covered in short, soft golden-tawny coloured fur with subtle darker brown stripes along her arms and face. She has distinctive feline facial features with pointed ears, a small pinkish nose and a jaw of sharp teeth. She has striking heterochromatic eyes with a crystal blue right eye and a Golden amber left eye. M’Ressa is able to consciously control how dilated her eyes can become, able to fully dilate them to help her see more detail and constrict them to feline vertical slits in environments with higher levels lighting. She has retractable claws and a long, expressive tail. She wears her Starfleet uniform with pride, though she’s had them modified to accommodate her tail. |

| Personal History | Born into a large Caitian family, M’Ressa is the eldest of a litter of seven children. As she grew up, she essentially became a second mother to her younger siblings as her parents were often away from home for work. Her mother worked for Starfleet Medical as a nurse and her father was a long-haul cargo ship Captain who was often away for months at a time. So, from the age of 12, M’Ressa would help to manage the household between study sessions to maintain her grades. When it came to choosing a career after school, M’Ressa’s natural talent for spatial awareness and quick decision making made Starfleet’s pilot program a natural choice. Despite her family’s reluctance to let her go, she enrolled at Starfleet Academy at the age of 18. Graduating at towards the top of her class the galaxy was M’Ressa’s to play with. With her grades, she had a long list of assignments she could choose. Deciding to take an assignment onboard a border cutter, M’Ressa enjoyed piloting the Kelvin class ship along the edge of Federations space. During one patrol, M’Ressa’s ship came across a strange spatial anomaly that seemed to bend spacetime around a swirling point. Pulled in by the intense gravitational pull of the anomaly, M’Ressa’s ship fell through into another universe where they found themselves in an asteroid field. The trip had destabilised the warp core, causing the crew to evacuate. M’Ressa was onboard one of the last shuttles to leave the ship before it exploded. The warp core detonation sent out a massive shockwave that knocked most of the escape pods and shuttles around, steering them into the asteroids. M’Ressa was able to use the shockwave to push her shuttle out of the field, though not without casualties. Alone, she put what power she could into the communications system, curled up on the pilot’s chair and eventually fell asleep. It took Starfleet three days to send a ship to investigate the distress call. When they got there, M’Ressa was the only survivor. Her strange uniform and shuttle became a cause for concern for Starfleet, as M’Ressa was clearly not only from another universe, but from another time. The anomaly had pushed her over 100 years into the future. Unable to decide what to do with her, as they had no idea how to send her back to her own universe, let alone the correct time, Starfleet Command reached out to the one ship captain they knew had experience with temporal affairs, Captain Thorrin. |
