Mission: In The Nick Of Time
Location: Bridge - Deck 1 - USS Herodotus
Timeline: MD004 1800hrs

Tarian was working on the Bridge after the ship's arrival to the Kroat homeworld. He had been running some scans, both before and after their arrival. But, he had had little success with breaking through to see what was going on, mainly on the planet itself. There was too much interference surrounding the capital City. Not enough to interfere with transporters, but enough to not get enough good scans. It was starting to bother Tarian a little bit that he couldn't get a good scan for the away team that beamed down to the planet.

Working at his station near the front of the Bridge, Tarian was going through and running several different types of scans that the ship had available. Heck, he was even running through some scans that ONLY the Herodotus had the ability to perform. Tarian was using the data from the scans that he was currently performing and tied it into the chronal data that he got earlier before they arrived.

That data had shown something like a temporal echo, possibly from a Federation vessel or someone tied to the Federation itself. But, the data also showed the information being both in the past AND the future. Not even just recent History or past. Like, several hundred years in either direction. The data confused Tarian and that was what worried him quite a bit.

The console in front of Tarian started to beep and brought him back to reality. Tarian didn't even realize that he had zoned out while the scans were running. But, was glad for the distraction to bring him back. The only thing that sucked was that it wasn't anything more than he was already expecting.

The data that Tarian brought up on his monitor showed that there was still too much interference to bring up any useful information about what was going on down there on Kroatia. This was bugging Tarian terribly because he knew that he had the ability to figure this out. But, nothing was coming out of the various scans that he was performing.

Getting up from his own station, Tarian walked over to the science station, which was almost diagonally across from his own station. There was a junior officer manning the station at the moment. Tarian relieved the young officer to check on some stuff with the sensor array and make a few minor tweaks.

From the earlier readings, he was able to get some chronal data that he was hoping to feed into the sensors. That way, he might be able to tweak them enough to see past whatever was interfering with the sensor readings. Thankfully, it didn't take long for Tarian to make the necessary adjustments to the sensors and headed back to his own station.

The updated information that he fed into the sensors did something because he was getting past the interference a little bit better. While it didn't completely clear up, it allowed him to run some more tests and scans to realize that the interference that he detected around Kroatia and the interference surrounding the complex where the Primer was had the same temporal signatures.

So, whoever was in orbit might have been down in the planet as well. But, what were they here for and what were they trying to protect? Or hide?

Tarian still wasn't sure, but at least he had a little bit more to go on then previously. So, he decided to head down to Astrometrics here in a little bit to see if he couldn't map out something. Do a chronal mapping for the planet and the system. See what might be out there.
